I don't stay in hotels too often.
So when I do I put a lot of effort into choosing one that I can afford and that is different.
If I'm paying money for somewhere special to stay I don't want it to be dreary.
I spend lots of time on travel sites.. TripAdvisor mostly, looking at photos.
I look for nice showers and flat TV's
But the thing that matters the most to me is that the pillows are above the blankets when the bed is made.
I think that if a hotel hides the pillows below the blankets they are hiding them, and must not be proud of them.
Much of my time in a hotel room is spent sleeping, so a pillow is important. If they want me to visit they should let me see where I am going to rest my head while I am there.
